The St. Thomas of Villanova Laetate Ringers recently attended the Handbell Musicians of America Area 2 “Spring Ring” held in Bryn Mawr. Under the expert direction of handbell clinician Kathy Ebling Shaw, our ringers joined with other choirs, learning new techniques and honing their skills. The day concluded with a mini-concert of the pieces which they’ve been learning since January for the occasion. Congratulations to our bell team for their efforts and accomplishment, and thanks to Father Joe for his support in this endeavor.

LAETATE RINGERS
Contact: Elaine Zajano 610.405.6551 | [email protected] The Laetate (meaning “Rejoice”) Ringers, our parish Handbell Choir, is open to all ages. We rehearse in Rosemont Chapel on Thursdays at 7:15. Pictured to the right -
Director of our Laetate Ringers, Elaine Zajano, recently traveled to Holland, Michigan to study the British four-in-hand ringing technique with expert ringers Carla and Larry Sue. Using this skill enables as few as two ringers to play a complete piece! Elaine is thrilled to have had this opportunity, and looks forward to passing on what she has learned to members of Laetate. |
