Dear Hunger Advocate, This link provides a sample letter that we are asking you to send to Senator Arlen Specter advocating for increased funds to fight global hunger and poverty. Senator Specter is on a key committee that appropriates funds for these programs. We encourage you to use the letter as a sample and handwrite your own, using the talking points given but saying them in your own words. If that is not possible, please use the letter enclosed. All letters must be signed and in addition print your name and address, including zip code. Address the envelope and include your return address on the envelope. Please return the letters on the weekend of June7-8 and place in the offering basket at liturgy.
